Lighting Services have worked closely with Integral UK to design, and deliver, the new lighting solutions for Phase 1 of the Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol.
Bristol Sport appointed Integral in July, 2015 as the main contractor to deliver and complete the enhanced fit out of Ashton Gate Stadium. The areas addressed in Phase 1 include the new Sports Store, The Dolman Stand, Sports Bar and Grill along with the new concourse within the South Stand.
“It has been an honour to work on this project” said Matt Holway, Director at Lighting Services. “We have worked with Integral for many years on various other projects but this one has really given us the opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of Lighting Services strengths within our lighting solutions business.”
Bristol based Lighting Services deliver many projects across the region providing turnkey lighting solutions from concept to completion. University of the West of England, RAC, Bristol Airport and Whirlpool are just some of their regular clients.
“We turned to Lighting Services as we knew the lighting solution for this project could not simple be provided by one sole manufacturer.” said Mike Zanetti, Integral UK. “Having worked with Lighting Services in the past we had found them technically knowledgeable and reliable.”
The Ashton Gate timescales for the concept designs and completion were extremely tight. However, the design team at Lighting Services were able to comfortably meet the set deadlines, without sacrificing the quality of the lighting solution.
Matt Holway continued. “With our developing network of leading manufacturers we can provide the latest LED and controls technology. Within the South Stand we were able to illuminate the whole of the ground floor which covered in excess of 1000sq/mts from just two light source points. This space was lit using a linear LED format which produced a uniform light distribution and enhanced the light levels requirements.”
Lighting Service provided a varied range of products for a modern, enhanced appearance, whilst maintaining energy efficiency throughout. LED technology was at the forefront of the design with solutions from our world leading partners including Philips, Trilux, Taison and Illuma. Compliant emergency lighting was also installed using the existing central static inverter.
