Leading Bristol-based lighting design consultancy and specialist services provider, Connected Light welcomed the Chancellor’s renewed commitment to the South-West region outlined in the Budget.

Director, Tony Ludlow commented: “We are delighted to see the formation of a new Transforming Cities Fund, designed to improve transport in English cities. We hope that the proposed improved connection and access from Bristol Temple Meads station will be pushed through as a priority. This will directly benefit our staff, by improving their daily journeys to work and enable us to keep attracting top talent.

“In addition, we welcome the Chancellor’s £400m boost for charging infrastructure across the UK for electric vehicles; including the use of existing public street-lighting to provide EV charging points. This should encourage greater public take-up of EVs and help drive the UK towards a greener, more sustainable transport future.”
