Lighting Services have worked with At-Bristol to deliver a design solution to upgrade their car park lighting to become more energy efficient, and reduce maintenance costs, whilst maintaining the award winning lit environment.
Lighting Services took on this challenge in partnership with Taison Lighting to design a retrofit light fitting which was designed to fit the existing housing keeping the installation simple and costs low.
Being a Park Mark® awarded car park with an award winning design for its spacious and well-lit scheme, At-Bristol were keen to maintain the award. Lighting Services’ Mike Ludlow says of the project: “cracking the challenge of maintaining the high standard of light required whilst delivering a maintenance free LED product was a real success. Lighting Services have calculated a payback period for the scheme of less than 2 years, with an annual energy saving of around £75,000”
“We’re really pleased with the finished result. Lighting a car park correctly is important for patrons’ security and safety and it is the only fully LED lit car park in the South West” he continued. The project proceeded with over 600 fittings being converted in total.
