In Dunster village, Somerset, at the top of the hill lies Dunster Castle, a National Trust property. At over 1,000 years old, Dunster Castle has been in the heart of the village, and home to the Luttrell family who resided in the Castle for over 600 years.
The National Trust approached Connected Light to give the stables, located in the grounds of the historic Castle, a lighting refurbishment. Using the latest in LED technology, Connected Light were able to use LED for both the Spotlights and LED flexible strip lighting which captured the buildings’ impressive structure.
The LED spot lighting was used to light up the walls and walk ways, whilst the LED strip lights were used to light up the walls, and highlight the stables and historic brick work.
Connected Light have previously worked on several projects with The National Trust, many needing suitable lighting for the historical buildings. Connected Light prides itself on its knowledge and understanding of historic buildings, ensuring the lights are suitable, low energy, low maintenance and suit their surroundings.
