Working in collaboration with ETS Group, Connected Light supported the delivery of a high-end lighting and controls package for a leading American company at their new Temple Quay office in Bristol. The project formed part of a full turnkey fit-out led by ETS Group, including interior design, furniture, finishes and bespoke lighting.
Connected Light’s role began at concept stage, where 3D designs were produced to capture the desired atmosphere – a warm, inviting tone with dynamic visual impact on arrival. The lighting design needed to work with the existing ceiling grid, which posed challenges around mounting and placement.
Each luminaire was made to measure by our fabrication team. Fixtures were folded, curved and painted to suit the scale and style of each space, with dimensions precisely tailored to align with fixed suspension points in the ceiling. The result was a seamless integration between lighting and interior design, maintaining the client’s original vision.
Tuneable white LED technology was used throughout, creating a welcoming golden hue in reception and public areas, and allowing colour temperature adjustment for different times of day or use. Casambi lighting controls were embedded into the luminaires, offering full scene-setting and user-friendly operation.
Discreet Casambi PIR sensors were installed within the ceiling structure to deliver automated presence control without visual intrusion. Emergency lighting was also designed and supplied by Connected Light to meet all current compliance standards.
Mark Cole, Director of ETS Group, commented:
“Connected Light always bring clarity and creativity to our lighting projects. The integration on this scheme was spot on – and the results speak for themselves.”
Matt Holway, Director at Connected Light, added:
“The final results were so satisfying. As you walk into reception, the warm greeting from the lighting against the high-quality décor makes for an inviting and comfortable experience. It’s always a pleasure to work with ETS Group – their attention to detail is what delivers exceptional outcomes.”
This project reinforces Connected Light’s ability to collaborate with design and fit-out specialists on complex commercial schemes. It also demonstrates the flexibility of Casambi lighting control when paired with custom-made luminaires.
