The worlds first Amazement Park has just opened its doors, right here in Bristol.
Wake The Tiger is a total immersive experience into the world of Meridia which has all been built from recyclable material by a team of extremely talented artists and creators.
It was a pleasure to be involved with this latest project, right here in our own City of Bristol, to design and coordinate the Emergency Lighting System and an element of wireless control throughout the maze of amazement. Working with Box20 Consultants and Integrated Contracting Services Ltd it’s probably one of the most challenging but most enjoyable projects to date.
The chosen solution was by far the best choice, using a fully wireless Bluetooth monitoring solution. The automated Surepath System from Emergency Lighting Products Limited (ELP) will continue to assist the WTT maintenance team, with a cost effective and reduced energy solution to ensure their compliance is maintained at all times, without compromising the fantastic effects illustrated within the amazement park.
Casambi Technologies were also used and implemented for various elements where manual control was not possible. Bluetooth wireless switching has assisted the overall lighting management, making it far easier to operate and will continue to save time for the on-site team.
Connected Light provided on site surveys, emergency lighting design and client support throughout the initial phases of the project, with product supply and commissioning services to date.
If you get the chance to go , please do , this is something that you have never experienced before. Just Amazing!

This is the base document that calls up relevant standards and outlines how they should be interfaced. It also details how types of emergency lighting systems should be designed, installed, commissioned, and tested for different types of premises. Installation and wiring considerations are detailed and the appropriate testing and commissioning documentation are defined.

I've been a Client of Connected Light when working as a Project Manager for two NHS Trusts in Bristol over the past three years. Every interaction with Matt and the wider team at the company is a positive one, and everyone I have dealt with has been excellent at explaining legislation, the possibilities with various lighting fixtures and designs. Fee proposals are very reasonable, well presented and complete and Connected Light deliver on what is defined at the outset.
Competence, particularly certified competence, is of paramount importance on the fire safety projects we are working on together, so Connected Light's expertise and accreditations are not only invaluable but also a necessity.
