Connected Light Achieves Cyber Essentials Plus

Connected Light has achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification, strengthening its commitment to cyber security, trusted project delivery and supplier assurance across the business.

Cyber Essentials Plus is the next level up from Cyber Essentials. It includes independent technical testing and provides greater assurance that an organisation has implemented the controls needed to protect against common online threats.

For Connected Light, the certification is an important step in supporting clients across sensitive, technical and compliance-led environments. The company works with defence, MOD, Government secure sites, data centres, public sector organisations, healthcare settings, education providers and commercial facilities.

Reassurance for sensitive and secure projects

Cyber Essentials Plus is particularly relevant for clients and project partners operating in:

  • Defence and MOD environments
  • Government secure sites
  • Data centres and critical infrastructure
  • NHS, council and public sector organisations
  • Banks and large corporations

Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus gives clients additional confidence that Connected Light has taken practical steps to protect its systems, data and digital processes.

It also supports supplier assurance during procurement, onboarding and project compliance checks, particularly where work involves secure sites, public sector estates, data-sensitive operations or complex technical infrastructure.

Matt Holway, director at Connected Light, said:

“Our work often involves complex, sensitive and technically demanding environments, so it is important that clients can trust the way we operate. Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus certification reflects our commitment to high standards, responsible project delivery and continuous improvement across the business.”

Supported by Enhanced Group

Connected Light was supported through the Cyber Essentials Plus certification process by its IT solutions partner, Enhanced Group in Bristol.

Matt added:

“Cyber Essentials Plus gives clients further reassurance that we take cyber security seriously. For the sectors we support, protecting data and working to recognised standards is an important part of being a trusted project partner.”
